To conduct save competitions during the Nordic World Ski Championships in both of our stadiums (ski jumping, cross-country), we prepared a lot of organizational measures and regulations to ensure the safety of volunteers, athletes, trainers, officials, and the OC and our volunteers. All participants have to be conscious that in spite of all taken measures the risk of infection with the Coronavirus still exists and cannot be totally excluded.
In the following you will find some FAQs all around the situation of COVID-19 during the Nordic World Ski Championships Oberstdorf 2021. Circumstances and guidelines are subject to constant dynamics so that there can be changes at any time.
Yes, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will take place without spectators.
All accredited persons – including volunteers – have to show a negative Sars-CoV-2-test. This test will be carried out on site 48-24h before you enter the event site. The LOC will pay the costs for this test. A follow-up test must be performed every 4-6 days (you are flexible here).
There is no test required to pick up accreditation and get dressed at the Volunteer Center. Here we work with a hygiene concept.
Shortly before your assignment, the LOC will send you a link to register yourself for a test and to find all important information about. .You can use it to register for a test slot. The result will automatically be entered into the accreditation system and can also be found online.
The test centers can be reached on site and are signposted.
This depends on different factors. In the case of our own test tracks, the result will be available in any case before you enter the event site. If you have the test done at another German test center or at your family doctor's office, you have to make sure that you get the test result in time.
If on-site testing is not possible, you also have the option of having a PCR test at a recognized testing center in Germany or by a recognized general practitioner. The test result must then be sent to the following e-mail address for verification and activation of the accreditation: covid19@svg.ski . Nevertheless, we ask you to use the test stations on site if possible. This guarantees the timely and automated transmission of the test result.
No. There are only allowed german tests.
According to the latest development, you don´t need a 7 day PCR-test before your working time. The test 48-24 hours before entering the event is mandatory.
In addition to an actual negative Sars-CoV-Test you have to fill out a document about your health, testing, etc. each day. Not till then you get access to the event site. For that you just have to scan the QR-code on your accreditiation. Here you can fill out the document digitally.
Unfortunately, we cannot force the responsible health office to initiate a test. However, we can send you a personalized letter which explains the obligation of this PCR-test.
It is compulsory to wear a mask on the entire event site! The mask has to be worn tightly. Depending on your place of action and contacts you have to wear a “normal“ mask or a FFP2-mask. Masks will be provided by the LOC.
Yes, you will be tested for Corona Virus every 4-6 days on site. Here you are flexible and can decide by yourself when you want to do the follow-up test (after 4,5 or 6 days).

You must keep the minimum distance of 1,5 m on the entire event site. Please pay attention to hold this distance on the way to and from the stadiums (arrival, departure) as well.
If you feel sick or you have symptoms which suggests COVID-19 (fever, cough, cold in the head, sore throat, loss of taste and smell, etc.), please stay at home. Access to the event site is prohibited.

In case of a positive test result, you will be informed by the health department. After that, the quarantine must be started immediately. If you arrived by car, you may drive directly home and start quarantine there. If you arrived by public transport, you have to spend the quarantine in Oberstdorf in your accommodation. In this case, the additional costs cannot be covered by the LOC.

abroad who have stayed in a risk area within the last ten days before entering the country are
